Also, since Covid started I've noticed people are a lot more awkward in social situations. But Florida is the most relaxed state in terms of the masks/etc. so idk.

It's pretty scary how everyone put masks on and have just accepted them. In the beginning they were pushing the fear pretty hard so it was understandable. But at this point I would have thought everyone kind of realized that the virus isn't what they made it out to be, and that we could probably go back to living normal. Even with the vaccine, doesn't look like the masks are ending any time soon. And I personally don't believe in the vaccine, and have no intent on getting it, but a lot of people have. You'd think people would be ready to start going back to normal, but it almost seems like a lot of people don't even want to.
To me, it was like we submitted to fear/authority. I feel like we lost something and we're not ever getting it back. And it's a worldwide thing. It's a lot worse in some states, and even worse in other countries. Particularly Canada, UK, Europe, and Australia. From what I gather from people I know in Europe, most EU countries are on the verge on civil uprisings, and in some cases civil wars. Since Sept 11, 2001 feels like the world has been on a steady downhill path. All I know is it's going to get worse before it gets better. The US money is quickly losing it's value, and costs are rising fast. I expect by the end of this year we'll be looking at right now as "the good times". Just gotta try to stay sane.
The lack of family and community is what will really kill us, and that's at an all time low.

That's wild that you've lived in so many places. I've not done a lot of travelling, and I've never been out of the US.
I used to really want to travel, but it just hasn't been in the cards for me.
But yeah man, any time I can have an honest conversation with someone I appreciate that because it's become a rare thing.
