People infected with Rot really do find themselves in a pickle when interacting with the Book of Seams, you can't look at it, but you also have to confront it. I'm guessing Rosie has practised shooting with her eyes closed given the number of years she has spent preparing to confront the Church of Flickering Ascension.
We also finally get a look at what's left of Harvey after he was consumed by the BOS, he's not doing great, haha.
