In these pages we get to do a fun crime procedural where Chuck investigates the Bandwagon speakeasy and unfortunately finds the body of his war partner and lover, Harvey Bolton, dead in Rosie Jones's dressing room... it will certainly set him on the warpath and unfortunately in the wrong direction.
The purple pages go back to the B-timeline, I think this is the most pages we devote to the B-timeline up to this point, because they're very important. We finally explicitly reveal that the bookends in each issue are not actually a flash forward, but in fact alternate versions of our main characters living lives in their on timeline. I hope this is an exciting reveal for readers, or that they even get what I'm doing. Luckily there has been so much time travel and multiverse content lately, I don't think it will be a totally alien concept for people.
