Ithaqa Comic Issue 4 - Roughs Page 23 - The Police Are Here!
This page is actually where we are going to insert some of our Kickstarter backers who backed at $500, we gave people the choice of being cultists or police officers, and we mentioned that they may die a horrible death, haha. Looks like they are!
In the bottom panels, we see more of that visceral and uncomfortable blood magic that defines a Rot-based fighting style. It's painful, it's messy - it's just not pleasant haha. I wanted to create fight sequences that were different than the usual Marvel-y kicks and punches, followed up by occasional energy blasts. I wanted to create fight scenes that made the reader squeamish, even if the good guys were winning.
