Nice story, it's interesting to hear about financial adventures. I moved off for college at 19, paid my way for everything since 16, got a student loan for the last few years of nursing school. Then worked it off, but got a divorce and left nursing before really making much at it. Although I did have a nice house, but left it to my ex. The divorce ruined my finances for the past 15 years, even though I had a successful business online, always work hard, etc. The govt finds a way to ruin you. Also I'm sure I made some bad choices along the way. Trying to live free, and by your own morals and principles, can be costly in a world of slavery and corruption. I gave up everything to take care of my dying grandmother in her house, then I was quite ill after she died, and my family pulled away from me. I became the black sheep, was homeless with my wife, then we finally landed an apartment through a friend we met at the 420 farmers market we had been running. It was in the subburbs of Vancouver, affordable, older building in a great location. We were still very poor but we moved our stuff in, and started to try to stabilize our finances and health. I actually remember lifting a jug of orange juice from walmart a few times, because we had nothing to make it to the next month, and it was easy nutrients. I should go give them $30 some time and say sorry... lol they would just look at me like I'm crazy. Anyway, we finally started to have enough to eat, she was getting disability payments, and we spent it very wisely. We were both posting on Steem daily. I used my 0.2 BTC to buy 600 Steem or something stupid like that. Then it went basically to zero... for years. But after the split I just kept powering up and earning... every day for 4+ years! I don't have the support of many whales here. Most of the big curators have me on ignore, even though I do some of the best content on this chain in my categories. But I have some good friends and followers who loyally upvote in small amounts and it adds up. Now I've got 17000 Hive, and suddenly it went from 60 cents to 3 bucks. So I might be able to pay off the debt to my ex, and get my driver's license and other state privileges back, etc. So maybe crypto is going to be able to save my life... after helping others get into bitcoin since 2013, and then working daily for 4 years here on this blog. It would be great to finally have a win, after so many years of bad news and bad luck!
