Today is my birthday! I can't believe I'm turning 17 today! My family and I are going on vacation to Cape Codder as my birthday present. We're staying there for twenty days! We've been going there for years now, maybe like ten or eleven. I just can't wait to go back!
My mom is 39 and my dad is 42. They met when they were in college. Mom was 19 and dad was 22. They've known each other for 20 years! Today is actually their Anniversary. Isn't it amazing to have a child on your Anniversary? "C'mon Jessica we're gonna be late!"my little brother, Jack, yelled to me.
"Okay I'm coming!" I was still in my room putting some little things in my suitcase. Then I left my room and got into the "family" van. That van isn't even my mom or dads, it's mine. But I let them use it anyway. There are eight seats in the car. I go all the way in the back so I can lay down and sleep. I got this car for my friends and I to drive though, but it's okay that they use it to go on vacation with us.

After a short six hour drive, we finally arrived from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts. We were staying at our grandma's house and she lives in Pennsylvania. We live in Massachusetts, so the drive would have been shorter if we weren't in Pennsylvania.I told my brother,"We're here!"
"We're here already!" Jack said surprisingly. It was only six forty-five when we got there and it was still light out. So, I asked my mom," Mom can we please go to the beach?"
"I don't know, it depends on when we're all done checking in," answered mom.
"Okay," I respond.
Then we got out of the car, and got our bags out of the trunk. My dad went to the front desk, checked us in and got the room key. We went to our room and put all of our stuff in there.
Mom asked," It's to late to go to the beach, but do you guys want to go to the wave pool?"
"Ya!" Jack I and answered.
We all went to the pool, but it was closed. Then we realized that the pool closes at eight thirty. So, we went back to our room and watched TV for a little while. There's always a campfire by the wave pool at night, so we bought the sticks and marshmallows for it. A nice night at Cape Cod. Does it get any better than this?

After the campfire, we went back to the room, and got ready for bed. It was 1:00, so we only watched TV for thirty minutes or so. Then, we set up a air mattress for Jack and went to bed. I couldn't go to sleep so I was on my iPhone 4 under the covers. I heard my mom and dad get up, I shut my phone off and pretended to be asleep. They didn't even notice I was up! They just walked right past my bed and out of the room! I got up and looked where they were going, and they were going to the lobby. Why are they going to the lobby? Were they getting another birthday present? I wonder if it was the iPhone 6s! We'll see in the morning I guess!
It's now 8:00am and my parents are at the end of my bed.
"What- what are you guys doing at the end in my bed?," I asked.
They both did not hear me but they headed for the door. I was looking where they were turning and they turned to where the lobby was.
So, I followed them, into the lobby!
As I was following them into the lobby, I saw them grab two small boxes. They started to turn around, so I ran as fast as a cheetah back to the room. I went into the bathroom so that when they come back in they would think that I have gone to the bathroom.
"She'll love these presents." mom said.
"I know she will." dad said.
I flushed the toilet and put the water on. They both stopped.
"I thought she was in bed!" mom whisper-yelled.
"Me too!" dad replied.
"Hide these!" mom yelled.
Dad took the boxes and hid them very quickly, then ran into bed.
I waited for a couple of seconds before I came out, but when I did,
it seemed as if they were here the whole time. I walked to my bed,
looked at my time, 8:35, my phone read. If I fell back asleep, then I would be asleep for hours and hours. I might as well just stay up. I started playing on my phone, but then I saw like twenty messages saying Happy Birthday!🎉
After a couple of minutes mom, dad, and Jack all stood up. Mom said,"Are you ready to see your presents?"
"I thought this vacation was my present." I said surprised.
"No, there's more." mom answered.
My stomach hurt, in a good way. Dad walked over with two boxes wrapped in purple and pink wrapping paper. One looked like an Apple Watch and the other looked like an iPhone! I ripped up the one the looked like an Apple Watch.
"What's this?" I asked.
"It's a pregnancy test. Your gonna have a baby sister!" mom said excitedly.
"OMG NO WAY!" I yelled in excitement. "I'M GONNA HAVE A BABY SISTER?" I questioned.
"Yes." mom answered
"HOW DID I NOT KNOW? YOU DON'T LOOK PREGNANT AT ALL."
"I'm wearing a strap around my belly to make it look normal. If you'd like I can take it off."
"YES PLEASE I WANT TO SEE!"
She took the strap of her belly and when I saw her, it looked like she had been pregnant for a while now. "Open up your next present!" mom yelled happily.
I opened up the next box, and I new it! It was an iPhone 6s!
"THIS IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!" I exclaimed.
"You're welcome!" dad said.
" THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!" I yelled with tears coming down my face. This was truly the best birthday ever.
