I know this is a reach but did you ever dabble in second life? Another social experiment on the internet with unlimited promise, moments of brilliance and mostly just the embodiment of the internet in every way. Before long bots were automatically buying property and putting spam billboards as far as the eye could see. Not unlike American roadways, television, etc etc. Expecting Steem to just magically play by a different set of rules is completely ridiculous. Given the ability, the internet at large will use its resources in the lowest common denomination way. As much as it sucks, the only way to fix the problem is to hardcode bots and automation OUT of the system, as without regulation it’s pretty obvious what content/workflows will rise to the top of the “organic” trending list. Basically: all this fuss to make the system worse when it is painfully obvious that all that needs be done is REMOVE DELEGATIONS. Bots go bye bye and people and groups need to fork over some cash and buy Steem to have influence. As intended.

Also: we are seriously going to give up ten percent to have a group that accepts proposed Steem upgrades? Maximum lol. Will this be the same team that hasn’t managed to add a functional search bar to Steem in three years? Like what nobody noticed that yet? Pretty sure Prodigy Online and Netscape cracked the code on searching for content on the internet, but no we should totally lose rewards to petition strangers to add this functionality to Steem.

If you showed up today and found an unsearchable site about to cut already pathetic author rewards in half would you be diving in? Curie, OCD....all the curation initiatives are literally the ONLY thing functioning as intended. I can’t see how post fork anybody’s job gets any easier....I only see -more- consolidation of power as the bots become necessary for profitable content. Almost like the bot owners were witnesses trying to sell the Steem population on an idea detrimental to them. Feels very 2019 American government.
