I started out making dresses for Barbie for jobie. I am a mother of a boy so in my house there were no dolls, but I told a friend about my crazy idea of making clothes for Barbie, and she asked her daughter Uma to donate a cute doll to me, and that's how I got the Barbie Frozen as my exclusive model.
Comencé haciendo vestidos para Barbie por jobie. Soy mamá de un varón así que en mi casa no había muñecas, pero le conté a una amiga de mi idea loca de hacer ropa para Barbie, y le pidió a su hija Uma que me done una linda muñeca, y así obtuve a la Barbie Frozen como mi modelo exclusiva.
I don't use patterns, don't ask me why, I just see the fabric, I imagine what I can do, I cut it and it comes out (sometimes better, sometimes not so much). I spend my time collecting patchwork fabrics and clothes that are no longer used to recycle them and make dresses. Some I sell, others I donate to community aid entities for children.
No uso patrones, no me pregunten porqué, simplemente veo la tela, imagino lo que puedo hacer, corto y sale (a veces mejor otras no tanto). Me la paso juntando telas de retazos y ropa que ya no se usa para reciclarlas y hacer vestidos. Algunos los vendo, otros los dono a entidades de ayuda comunitaria para los chicos.
This has become a passion for me, it is a joby that makes my imagination fly and the satisfaction of being able to recycle fabrics.
Esto se ha convertido en una pasión para mí, es un joby que hace volar mi imaginación y la satisfacción de poder reciclar telas.
I used white satin from a nightgown of mine that when I ironed it a hole was made (very hot iron). Then I added the details that I like so much with lace and satin ribbons.
Usé raso blanco de un camisón mío al que cuando lo planché se le hizo un agujero (plancha muy caliente). Luego le agregué los detalles que tanto me gustan con puntillas y cintas de raso.
For the tulle veil I just cut out a rectangle and put an elastic on the end.
I armed the crown with a very fine wire, some pearls from an old necklace that I disassembled and to unite I used a rubber mask, so you do not get hurt when putting it on and taking it out.
The bouquet of flowers are artificial flowers unit with masking tape at the base and then a gathered lace to decorate.
Para el velo de tul simplemente recorté un rectángulo y le pasé un elástico en el extremo.
La coronita la armé con un alambre bien finito, unas perlas de un viejo collar que desarmé y para unir usé conta de enmascarar engomada, asi no te lastimás al ponerla y sacarla.
El ramito de flores son unas flores artificiales unidad con cinta de enmascarar en la base y luego una puntilla fruncida para adornar.
As you will see by my name, it is one of my passions and this wedding dress is one of the ones that I like the most and I enjoyed doing the most.
