Good day Steemians! The Moringa tree has been really devoting its energy to growing its seed pod. These trees when much larger and more developed will typically have multiple seed pods. My tree is mostly pot bound, so I only expect the tree to have a single pod at a time.
Growing slowly is not what the seed pod has been doing…. Its been growing insanely quick. It’s been about two weeks since my last update on the tree. The shot below is the current state of the tree:
And, this shot is from the previous update:
And now a side by side:
INSANE, HUH!?!?!?!?! I did not measure exactly, but I would say the seed pod has grown 2.5 times since my last update. And, the pod is a little longer than 2 feet (0.67m) in length. It will continue to grow as the summer continues and from my last experience the pod will finish it’s growth at around 3-4 feet (1-1.3m) in length. I plan to germinate the seeds this year and get some additional pots so that I’ll have several Moringa trees for the nutrients it offers.
I give this a thumbs up!
This was a shorter post, but I hope that you are enjoying seeing the growth of the seed pod. I also hope this offers some encouragement to grow your own Moringa trees in the future.
