What is hypomineralization?
Hypomineralization is defect in which amount of tooth enamel is normal but minerals are less which may leads soften enamel.
Clinical features?
Most commonly seen in permanent dentition.
Teeth are stained as slightly yellow to brown color.
In most severe cases teeth may show tendency to wear and fracture and even carious.
Some time white spot and patches on tooth surface or cusp area are seen.
Loss of outermost enamel in irregular areas or less than half of surface or more than half of enamel involved.
