By presenting you with their absence, they leave you with this blinding sense of their presence in your life, and you find yourself constantly trying to battle it out of you.
The emptiness beside you on the sheets of your bed shouldn’t speak as much as it does, nor should the missing smell of coffee that used to hit you every morning remind you of a smile you are never going to receive. But it does anyway. And you force yourself to learn to live with it, the emptiness. Until it starts feeling like a part of you.
