These images are from November of the time when we could still walk freely and we haven't even heard of this damn disease that makes us scared and apprehensive about our future as human beings.
And with that uncertainty, I am still losing my happiness, I try to stop a little to think a little and allow myself to flow through my visit to my family to what I consider one of the best winter places to visit in Portugal.
Serra da Estrela has a maximum altitude of 1993 meters in the Tower, making it one of the highest points in Portugal and known for its beautiful Winter Landscape, for being a very low location for the city of Portugal, it is an unparalleled beauty. a scenic level with impressive mountainous areas, where we literally ran out of breath, because the cold and its altitude make us have some breathing problems. In the summer, there are a variety of green birds and flocks of sheep and goats
where the cheeses they make in the surroundings are extracted.
It is known for its good chorizo and ham cheeses, among others that are produced around animals that eat there.
It is very common for these herds to be guided by dogs of the breed that Serra named after the same name "SERRA DA ESTRELA".
Serra da Estrela is the only place in Portugal where we can practice snow skiing, in addition to riding a train, snowboard or motorcycle. There are several trails with support infrastructures, and synthetic snow trails are also detected for skiing at any time of the year with the vodadone concession.
This natural park is excellent for hiking, horse riding or cycling.
There are about 375 kilometers of marked trails on the ground, with various levels of difficulty, because there is adequate weather in climatic conditions. And who never dreamed of flying like a bird? We can feel this sensation on a paraglider in the Lines of Beira, flying over this historic village, which is also explored by the foot itself.
It also has a cable car that helps to better see the landscape and the Tower to serve the Support, where it sells traditional products, in addition to the Police Station and Monitoring
In summer, the Serra also offers many activities, such as the artificial snow trail throughout the year, there are some waterfalls in the surroundings and lagoons where we can get some sun and cool off.
