what is an AI reader? I've never heard that term before. If I had to guess - I'm guessing that it's a fake account set up to an AI bot???

I dont know - but from what I've seen of @genesisledger - his posts are very much a personal story of actual accounts (and pictures) of his life - from recipes, to travels, to social outings - all with details and pictures that back it up.

His comments on every thing that I've engaged with are always very human - and from what I read above - seemed to coincide with everything that I've seen so far.

From what I read, (and I could easily be wrong) it seemed to me that he was not only trying to comment on your post - but actually start a discussion and offer his own insight to what you were writing. That's the essence of a comment of the day - in my book. If this was generated by AI - I would wonder why on earth he would take the time to actually write real posts, and engage with personal interaction - only to choose one comment to use AI for a poem? Like I said - could he have??? Sure. but why? I don't see the logic or reason in it at all.

I never use AI for any of my writing, not for writing, and not for editing. I'm a writer. I DO use AI for creating images to go along with my posts. Some people have a problem with that - I happen to not. I get tired of the images on Unsplash - and they take hours to find something that goes specifically along with your intent - when you can take hours to create something step by step , and then take to canva and photopea to further personalize it more... and have something totally unique. Again, i know some people have an issue with it - I don't.

But...
I HATE AI created text. For me - personally - as a writer, I hate it.

And out of curiosity one day - I put one of my 100% dreem-written posts into an AI checker - and it came up as 88% human.

that was 12% AI detected - when not one word of it was AI.

So - though I hate AI written text - I also think that to accuse someone of AI written content - without 100% proof - and also to then take it further to say that anyone who could think otherwise.... is a step too far for me.

You are certainly welcome to your opinions, and if they are fact - then, I stand corrected and I have been fooled by not only this comment - but all comments and posts that genesisledger has written so far. But I don't think that you should take such a strong stance as to take an assumption and then make it fact, and then shame others who don't hold the same opinion as you. I think that - is actually - just as disappointing to see on Hive.

And to downvote it 100% without actually having proof? just opinion and smearing someone's name? I don't know. Like I said... I'd just be more cautious with that kind of stuff until more was actually known.

You said yourself its tough to catch AI- but then treated it as if you already had. Could you be wrong? I tend to err on the side of caution.

Having said all that - I take my hat off to you in at least doing due diligence to AI check your comments. I don't know if anyone is doing that yet - so... maybe you're onto something! lol
