Well, @genesisledger, your comment appears to be very insightful; however, I have, out of curiosity, experimented with AI analysis of my own fiction and poetry. AI is both adept at symbolism, and at the same time entirely superficial. For example, the sentence
"Enough to kill in other days / not now" suggests a change in how certain elements or situations are perceived.
is exactly the kind of interpretation I would expect an AI reader to provide, while a human reader might be able to guess at, from the context of the poem, the particular situation being played out here.
It's tough, though, to catch AI. Maybe I just didn't provide enough information in the poem to allow a human reader to understand the context. But that whole paragraph of analysis just sounds exactly like what ChatGPT puts out.
Very disappointing to see this on Hive, and especially to see it rewarded and celebrated as 'comment of the day'. 100 percent downvote from me.
