This is hilarious. One of the things I rebelled against from my upbringing is definitely routines. When I was young EVERYthing was a routine, including dinner at the table, same time every night, dishes after, homework after that, certain show my dad was watching, brush teeth & jammies, another show or head to my room & read, bedtime- and all of this went on until I graduated, the only change was a later bedtime at different ages. During the week was the school routine, weekends- Saturday-chores, then I could go play or whatever, then Sunday Church.

I have done everything I can to Not have a routine ever since. Other than when the kids were young, I did see the value in consistency for small ones, well bedtimes anyway. And when I first started homeschooling it was more regimented, but as they grew we changed that. My son finds it hilarious how differently I grew up from him.

But you're right, there is a daily routine no matter what you do. I may not have specific times for laundry and dishes etc, but I do them everyday. Sometimes I think I made a routine of not having a routine lol
