Now.
I initially planned to write a nice introduction for this article, with a personal memory hook and a slow, gentle fade in into the bigger picture, like any story teller who respects himself would do, but then I just decided to skip it.
Because, while I do respect myself as story teller, I also respect something else: action.
There's a time to tell stories and there's a time to take action.
Now it's time to take action.
We are seeing so many wild swings of the price that we somehow "normalized" it. It just feels ok to see 20% ups and downs within days or hours. Just another day in crypto, right?
Well, guess what: this is not normal. This will get leveled up. This will flat out. In 3 years from now, swings as high as 3 or 4% will send chills down our spines. 3 years from now markets will be cemented, value will be locked in and inertia will be ten times bigger.
Ok, you didn't buy Bitcoin when it was $100. Bummer. Also, you didn't buy Ethereum when it was $10. Bummer again.
But what counts is that the trend is going up. Bitcoin and Ethereum are just 2 players. There are hundreds of new players being born every week and just the top 50 from Coinmarketcap will be just as interesting as BTC or ETH in 3 years (provided they'll survive that much, obviously).
If you think profits are tied up only to a handful of coins, then you're missing out the big picture. It's like it's 2001 again and you will think the internet will be made out by only two sites: Google and Yahoo. Just think how many other sites emerged since then. How many processes were improved. How many new, fabulous web projects were created and how much wealth was generated.
We're in the middle of a similar moment.
