For the first time in history, the total market cap of cryptocurrencies surpassed $600 billion.
I've been closely watching this metric for the last month, noting when it went past half a trillion, just 5 days ago, when it went past $400 billion, 11 days ago, and when it went past $300 billion, 21 days ago.
During the last 3 weeks, the crypto market cap doubled in size. Stop for a while and try to digest this.
And it's not only about the speed of growth as it is about the size. Because this growth didn't happen from $100 million to $200 million. It happened from $300 billion, which is just a bit more than Singapore's GDP. In 3 weeks, cryptos doubled with the yearly GDP of Singapore.
What's interesting, though, is that Bitcoin's dominance went down 10% last week, which means the growth came mainly from alts.
Which may mean that this is just the beginning.
