At the beginning of the year I posted a small article containing a few predictions for the crypto market. We're already in the second month of the year, so I thought this would be a good moment to do a recap and see where I stand. I plan to make this a regular thing, from now on, posting each month a small update.
I think we're doin' ok here, taking into account BTC was at around $29,000 at the beginning of January. Highest value so far was $41,900.
It's still a decent advance from a $0.11 on January 1st. This increase was fueled simply by market sentiment, but I expect a lot more to happen here once we get to see the next hardfork (which may appear in Q2, I suppose). Highest value so far was $0.16.
There is quite a lot going on in this area. @blocktrades hinted at some smart contract engine in a Hive 2nd layer in this post and in his second update for the work performed this year. I don't have a clear idea of when this would appear, so, based on what I know so far, it might be somewhere in Q3. FWIW, if there's something I can help with, as a programmer, I'd be happy to. I will follow this close and if there's something I'm doing on this front, I will update you guys here.
This one is new and I jumped a bit, but I still think it counts as a 2021 prediction, even if we are already in the second month.
So far, this prediction is a lot of fun :)
