Now I finally get why I actually play minecraft, redstone this wonderful thing they brought into minecraft drives people to the edge of insanity

So for the actual reason I am looking through minecraft videos, I an building a castle on a minecraft server (opening date: Next week). Now with castles one wants to put some really cool things inside, trap door, the main gate, hidden rooms and even a dungeon. So I have a few idea but I haven't been playing for some time now, with new updates comes new possibilities, so I am doing some research and found more or less what I was looking for:
Although this gate is really small for the huge building I have planned to make, I know how to make it much bigger, comment below if you have any suggestions.
