Over the years, I have worked for several companies, I have worked with different types of collegues- the good, the bad and the ugly.
Thinking about my years of working experience brought up a question in my head.
WOULD YOU RATHER WORK WITH ANNOYING COLLEAGUES OR QUIT YOUR JOB?
I believe that the type of people you work with really with matters because it is your colleagues that determine if your stay would be fun or miserable.
I once had an annoying colleague, and sometimes just thinking of the hours I'll spend with him in the office gets me worried.
What were his flaws?
He talks a lot...
Aways looking for an opportunity to cheat you on a deal...
He lies a lot...
When I say lie, I don't mean the the common lie people normally tell to save their neck, but useless and obvious lies -my father is richer than bill gates and he owns 3 banks-
Lies which you look right through them and find no atom of truth in them.
How do you spend hours in the same room with that type of person?
He never stops talking, he could talk none stop for hours. If he makes a 100 sentence, believe me 92 of those are lies. Honestly this is not exaggerated.
Well this actually didn't make me to quit my job. I mean the job was cool and was definitely paying well, i couldn't afford to become jobless and start looking for a new job, just because I had a chatter-box as a colleague.
Rather I discovered a way to avoid hearing so many words from him.. I bought a loud headset, once I get to the office i'd cover my ears with it, clearly signifying that I want no disturbance. Therefore he only spoke to me when it was really important to speak.
There you have it, I wouldn't quit my job because of an annoying colleague, I'd rather find a way to make it work out.
But I know that annoying colleagues come in different levels. There could be some annoying colleagues who you can never make things work with them.
