Recently had an interesting discussions on social media and found fascinating another prove how paradoxically
human mind is working. We basically can not perceive something that is not in our experience.
It was quite difficult to try to explain the term 'consciousness' to a person who never studied the subject.
So you would receive an almost angry feedback - "what do you mean 'conscious' - I am awake so I am conscious.
How do you measure the level of consciousness? With caliper ruler?",- would be an argument.
Of course I can understand a person who thinks that "All around are an incomprehensible combination of particles or waves that is pretty random".
Maybe it is, so what further can be discussed in general when the world sets and world views are quite different like we are talking on different things
on different languages.
Interesting enough the partly answers to this I found in Innsaei:The Power of Intuition film that can be found on Netflix.
The film explained quite easily that our right brain thinking that responsible for intuition, enlightment, creativity is less understandable for us
as left brain thinking i.e. logic. When we put too much power to logic we are unable to find solutions to complex and more demanding of holistic approach
matters. As one of my favorite Einstein quotes "Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere".
You cannot explain Soul in words as it is beyond senses but does it mean it does not exist then.
