Ephesians 4:17 "This, then, I say and require in the Lord: that you no longer walk like the other Gentiles, who walk in the vanity of their mind."
A corrupted word is a dirty contaminated word that does not edify the listener. The Bible advises us about this in (Ephesians 4: 29)
"Let no corrupt word come out of your mouth, but that which is good for the necessary edification, in order to give grace to the hearers."

Here we speak of two types of words: Blessing and perdition.
Obvious that the word of perdition are corrupted words that do not edify.
When the apostle Paul gives this advice he tells us that no rotten rotten words that are not true of honor come out of our mouths.
For example, Matthew 17 uses this word to refer to the fruit of a tree to rotten fruit because the corrupt tree bears bad fruits, disgusting fruits and corrupts those who are near.
It is for this reason that our vocabulary must be transformed and speak words of honor together with the values of God. All residue of the old man must be totally nullified.
Our words have to be good and necessary! - Necessary means not talking more than necessary. Remember that every time we open our mouths we have a lot of chances to fail, so we must be wise when communicating with others.
God wants our words to build encourage and encourage the listeners.
It is important to emphasize that Christians should avoid profane conversations. The true Christian abhors such an attitude as light abhors darkness. Just as we should avoid meeting to talk about others, then that practice does not correspond to Christians.
The Bible affirms us in Colossians 4: 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should respond to each one.
For what? to preserve the values of God in a world that without those values is corrupted.
