The Word of God is our bread of life. Do you know that? We survive and live by digesting the word of God. Or should I not say that we survive. We actually live by studying the Word of God. The Bible records that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. So God has a mouth and He can speak. He speaks the words of life. So, man shall not live by bread alone but man shall live by every words that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord. We eat the Word of God equally as we eat bread. Bread sustains our physical life but the Word of God sustains our spiritual life. The spiritual controls the physical. So, living spiritually is what gives life to our entire being. Whoever is not alive spiritually is dead even while he lives.
The Word of God will not transfer the life in it into our life if we do not read or listen to it. The Bible says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. There is no faith when someone has not taken in the Word of God. The Word of God is what gives us faith. So, we must read the Bible and try to listen to what we are hearing.
