This one is going to be dark. It reflects where I am right now. It also reflects where I have spent many hours along my journey. Not all, but many. I cannot say why I am here right now, only that I am. I promise to not leave you in total darkness for there is always a solution if one chooses to look for solution. Sometimes the solution comes from a change in perception, sometimes the solution comes from action that defines purpose and meaning, sometimes solution simply manifests. I cannot forecast what my solution will be right now but to sit and write these words. I know that my current experience is shared by many because mine is a human experience and in that I am not alone. I am certain there is always a bright spot in the darkest of moments if one chooses to discover it, however oftentimes, discovery is no easy task. In the meantime:
Shared Reserves
It takes a few moments, maybe more
When I look around, begin to see
It's all familiar now
The dim lights, the dark decor
The face that smiles while hiding sadness
And the mirror reflecting the darkness that is me
Yes, I can see
The mirror reflecting the darkness that is me
Then I wonder
Why did I step through this door
To see the mirror
To see the dark decor
To breath the stale smell once more
To be again the saddened slave slowly dying
No, not that
Instead I'll come to you, get on my knees
Ask you to hold me, join your spirit to mine
Share your strength, share your energy
Feed me, lift me, set me free
So that when I find you caught in the dim light
In the mirror reflecting your darkness
Amongst the smell of the slowly dying
I have lived to join your spirit to mine
To feed you just as you fed me
To feed you, lift you, set you free
