Second attempt at the Dragons share your battle challenge, for this attempt I will be choosing the "Chaos Dragon", since the first dragon was a melee unit, this time I will go with one of my favorite magic based dragons that i can use haha.

-Magic based attacker so can be placed at the back
-Has a high health pool at 10 and has armor at 4
Cons:
- Has a extremely high cost at 14
- Is an legendary card so unable to be use in certain rulesets
- Scattershot makes it attack randomly so it might be good and bad.
- Can be harmed by giant killer since its above 10 mana cost
Battle rules
| Symbol | Rule Effect |
|---|---|
| The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health. | |
| All Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability. |
Total Mana : 99
Usable elements : Fire, Water, Life, Death and Dragon
99 mana battles are always kinda fun as you can basically field whatever team you want since you have so much cost to work with.
Team Composition
Position: Summoner
Quix The Devious my go to summoner for dragon teams most of the time great counter to life teams with the minus 1 range attack and having minus 1 to speed always helps, thinking about getting him to level 2 buts its kinda expensive for now.Position: Main Tank
Chaos Knight works great during equalizer ruleset since its main drawback is its low hp values at 4 but with equalizer its becomes as high as the highest hp unit which greatly improves its survivability paired with its shield ability it becomes an extremely useful main tank that can survive against magic units for a while and do quite a bit of damage at 3 per hit.
Position: Focus of the challenge/Sub Tank/Magic Damage
The Chaos Dragon one of favorite Dragon card problem is its high cost kinda hard to use in most matches since using it result in me filling less spaces in the team but with a 99 mana ruleset I am able to use it freely.
with 3 magic attack and a lot of health and a bit of armor this guy can fill most roles of a team since its naturally is a tank with flying to evade those pesky melee and range attackers while bypassing armor with magic attacks.
Position: Buffer/ Magic Damage
Adelade Brightwing chosen to use more as a buffer than a attacker but its damage value is decent at 2 magic damage but in this team it was chosen as it has the repair ability since both chaos knight and chaos dragon have natural armor values, Adelade Brightwing can repair them when its lost allowing them to fight for longer.
Position: Melee Damage/Sneak
If the previous card Adelade Brightwing was chosen as a support unit , this sand worm was chosen purely for its damage, its has a high damage value of 5 which will help in reducing those high hp values gained from the equalizer ruleset.Position: Range Damage
Pelacor Arbalest one of the staple damage dealers of a light team, a shame it has a low hp value but in the equalizer its a beast since it still does 2 attack each turn with its double strike and now its only weakness of having extremely low hp is fixed it can survive most attacks and can hit real hardPosition: Range damage
The final unit of the team, the prismologist with its high damage value of 3 range damage but the best thing about the card is its blast ability allowing it to do more damage to the surrounding enemy units plus this match's ruleset favor it since it gave all range and magic attackers the snipe ability allowing the blast ability to bloom better with more targets to hitNow on to the Battle
Round 1
Luckily they ran a range heavy team allowing my summoner ability to be used to its full advantage reducing both their damage and speed.
Adelade Brightwing putting in the work repairing armor left and right to ensure not much damage is dealt to the hp values and that prismologist blast damage hitting 3 units at once is so useful since they place their tank unit sandwiched between 2 units in the back if they placed it in the back it would have been better since with taunt it will force the prismologist to target it and the blast would then only affect 1 unit.
The Chaos dragon flying ability is showing off its enhanced evading rate by making those range attack miss its haha keeping it healthy
Round 2
They lost their taunt tank this round after getting bombarded by quite a few attack and with Adelade Brightwing repairing my armor each round my units are not taking that much damage which is great and the enemy's damage output is decreasing since their units are getting taken out of the fight plus since they are playing mostly range units once they reach the front of the team they cannot attack anymore
i would have placed maybe a garoya Devil in the 2nd or 3rd slot since it has the close combat ability allowing it to at least still attack, it does have low hp but that would have been solved by the equalizer ruleset and that time mage should have been in front instead of that range unit so that the range unit at least can still do some damage and instead of being a sitting duck.
Round 3
with the lack of any tanks remaining and the lack of damage while facing my full team, it was written in stone that a defeat was inbound, the main reason for their defeat was the lack of damage due to my summoner's ability which negated their damage gain from their summoner, if they played slightly more other damage types instead of focusing on range damage they might have had a better chance of victory or if i used another summoner than i might have lost.
Strategy Talk
Chaos dragon only gets better at level 2 which is why I want to get one to level 2 but to use a level 2 legendary I would need to bring my current dragon summoner to level 2 which will take some time, well I am looking forward to the day when my chaos dragon has the blast ability which would make it even stronger.
I could have ran a healer in this team lineup to make it even better since the equalizer rule works very well with healer since healer heal 1/3 the max hp of the unit.
Thanks for the battle challenge curation team
Can't wait to see what is next week's battle challenge theme haha
