Do you understand by speaking in tongues, believers? Is speaking in tongues there for you to understand or not?
Maybe you are in another country and you find yourself speaking in a strange voice, which is the native tongue of another country.
What can we say? Is it speaking in tongues?
Acts of the apostles say that we are all Galileans. They are supposed to speaking Galilean language. But when the Holy Spirit came upon them, they started speaking in other native tongues.
Acts 7:8, also shows that people around were marveled by how God spoke this tongue. And each man with the Holy Spirit spoke their own tongues. That was speaking in tongues. But nowadays, pastors and other members are speaking about what nobody knows or what nobody understands. Can we say this is maybe speaking in tongues?
Because speaking in tongues shows that you are speaking in tongues. It shows that you are speaking in another language that is different from ours. And this happened in the Bible and there is evidence which can be translated also.
But then when people are speaking in tongues or language that people don't understand, can we call that speaking in tongues?
So, speaking in tongues, you are also speaking in another language. That is not your own language. It is your own mother tongue and which can be understandable and not the one that is unfamiliar to anyone or others.
