#needlework
Hello my fellow needleworkers, today's project is very different.
I decided to be a bit different this year. I made this gradient ruffle hat for myself.
First of all i will share a little fact most people don't know about me, drum rolls pleaseโฆ I don't own up to five outfits (hahahahaha). It is not intentional but then that's just the fact, my friend once asked how I'm always making crochet outfits for people and I own almost zero.
The thing is I always feel lazy to make things for myself and I honestly don't know why.
First thing i made for myself was a bra top and i gave it out, second was a blue mesh shrug which i want to give out, third was the three piece i made so i could wear to a fashion show(that was the last time i wore it) i would make a post about this soon, fourth is a crop top, fifth is a mesh long sleeved top (this should be my favorite, lol, wore it to the store once). I have small things like packers fr my hair, bandannas and one cute waist bag.
Don't get me wrong, I love crochet wear. I'm just too lazy to make some for myself.
This year I decided that I want to switch things up a bit and I want to start with this beautiful ruffle hat.
For your information I have a thing for designing with gradients of a color or direct opposites and I went for gradients this time.
I had left over yarn from a project and decided to make this for myself since I had the whole day to myself. I have been looking forward to when i wud be free so i can make ruffle hat fr myself and the day finally came, this whole process was very exciting (you know that feeling you get when you are about to get a new shoe or cloth ,yeah that was me days ago) the excitement lasted a while and only increased when i made a new color and the last was rose pink.
This is where it became really tricky.
I didn't have lots of yarn so when it came to the ruffles I had to reduce it so the yarn I had would be enough. When i finished I took pictures of it and funny enough i haven't tried it out yet and the reason is still a mystery to me but i am really happy i could take some out and get it done so that's definitely a plus for me right now.
I'll make another shade really soon and I'll be very glad to share it with everyone. I hope you enjoyed reading this through.I rarely write about myself.
This is a list of the things I used while making this hat:
*measurement tape.
- 4.0 mm hook for the body
*5.0 mm hook for the ruffles.
*stitch markers.
*Darning needles.
*4 balls of 40g acrylic yarn
*scissors
*measurement tape
Ps: the pictures used here belong to me and were taken with my mobile phone.
