Ever drifted to a point...
where you imagine and wish you were always right, that world of chimera where you never can make a mistake, where regret isnt a thing, where arguments never suffice, where faults and defects are non-existent where you never have to quarrel or have misunderstandings...even in relationships
WHERE YOU ARE PERFECT???
,It's not news that perfection is wildly craved, why perfectionists never rest until they achieve what might seem difficult to achieve, in other words impossible .
In order for perfection to come into being there must have been an iota of imperfection embedded in the process. But the paradoxical fact is Perfection is truly imperfection...
Sounds weird to say, yes .... contradictory, yes
But how true is it?
What we perceive as Perfection over time gets boring and monotonous, it isn't really as fun as one might think it is, it also has it's own faults, the world was created out of imperfection and wasn't intended to be perfect, a perfect world would be one without free will, one without choice.
"Just imagine the universe where as a total novice I pick up a compound bow and proceed to an archer's course and hit ten bull's-eye back to back Everytime.
If everyone and everything was this way do you think anything would be worth doing anymore?
My point here is...
stop beating yourself over that which you try so hard to achieve. Your imperfection makes you the perfect version of yourself. Do not wish to be someone else, neither should you wish upon someone. Perfection is not real and reality is not perfect.
Imagine you had a time machine, what would you do?...
Whilst observing my weekly dopamine detox session (this is very helpful btw). As we all know, I had to stay away from my mobile and any other electronics, all I had by my side were a pen, a novel and a piece of paper(this is usually the time I do my best thinking). The thought struck me and I asked myself "if I had a time machine what would I do"? I took up a pen and began listing all possible loopholes and mistakes I might want corrected. Well, the list was longer than I expected, I kept on writing and thinking, I suddenly stopped to re-examine the list and in an instance the simple answer to the question struck me.
"I would stop living".
Now answers might vary here, I have my reasons for saying so.I stumbled upon an old movie "time freak" and noticed how a guy tried so hard to make his life, his relationship perfect(I'd rather not spoil the movie for those who might wanna watch).
(Well just a bit).
He would always go back in time to correct anything that led to a misunderstanding between him and his girlfriend. Guess what...it got boring, she began to worry at the fact they had never had a misunderstanding since they started dating.
How shocking 馃榾馃榾
My question still remains, "how perfect is perfection"?
PS:btw the idea of a time machine still sounds super cool to me haha!
