This was supposed to be a doodle of my dog but my dog got hit by a car and died so here's a doodle of my cat instead.
Process
Step 1: Bury the dog in the backyard.
Step 2: Sketch a rough sketch of the cat's head. Make sure the eyes are large enough to take up most of the available headspace and empty enough to reflect how you feel inside right now.
Step 3: Add the cat's body and throw in some detailing. Give the cat an expression that captures its deep worry and concern about the absence of its longtime playmate and best friend, the dog.
Step 4: Add the cat's tail because cats have tails and forgetting to add a tail would be kind of stupid but also completely understandable considering the fresh trauma of having to scrape dog parts off the road and being unable to locate the dog's tail even after a solid hour of searching.
Step 5: Open a box of wine and drink the entire thing while crying over a pile of old photographs of you, the dog, and the cat all enjoying life together.
Step 6: Add some final shading and then pass out in your chair.
Voilà:
Hello and thanks for looking at my daily doodle. I drew it just for you :) Have a great day! –The Doodler
