Well today has been a day! I was looking for a place to start a blog around leadership and I ran across Hive Blog. One of the foundations of being a leader is learning and growing, so today I’m practicing what I’m preaching. Not only am I starting a blog, but I’m trying to learn more about crypto in the process. I’ll admit this is very new to me and somewhat intimidating. I’m sure I’ll continue to learn and it’s great to have a community that I can learn from.
As I said in the beginning, I want to chat about leadership and not just from a business perspective. Leaders don’t need to be managers and all of us need to lead to be successful in life. It entails every aspect of our lives from our own personal health to our relationships with others. During my ramblings here I’ll refer to it as leading your life.
As for my career, I’ve spent 25 years in the workforce in various leadership positions. While on this journey, I found that I enjoy the mentoring and teaching aspect more than anything. That’s why I’m looking to transition my career to education in the next 10 years. Knowing your goals is so important to create a plan to get where you want. I’ll need to get a part time teaching job to get experience, make sure financially that I’ll have a high enough cashflow to meet my obligations, and possibly plan a course to get my doctorate.
Anyway, I think I said enough for one day. I look forward to posting more and interacting with everyone who is interested. There’s nothing better than hearing your views and teaching me a few things along this journey.
