Some of the least affordable areas right now in the US for home ownership can be found in places like Florida, California, and NJ. Through the pandemic we saw a huge influx of movers to states like FL and TX and a large number of people leaving areas like NY and California.

Home ownership and renting has increased in cost for millions and the prices have reached unaffordable levels for many.

For those working professionals and single parents who are struggling to get by on their own financially it can be quite a challenge.

Some of the more cheaper regions to live have been areas like Mississippi, Kansas, Tennessee, and Missouri, among other regions.

Prices have gone through the roof in a number of cities and that means that many individuals are now left waiting for prices to come down if they are ever going to afford a home that they want.

Recent data shows that many Americans are waiting and ready to buy a house if the market crashes.

However, with rates fluctuating the way that they are there are many others who would warn to not go looking until things settle down. Don't wait for a crash, they say.

Overall, it seems the majority might be waiting for the event as recent surveys have suggested that most Americans are expecting the housing market to potentially crash soon. But there are some who have been waiting a long time for that to happen and there are others who argue that you might never see affordable levels again despite any crash.
