My interest in collecting cards Splinterlands game is growing day by day. Buying a card isn't just about adding a single item to my inventory. It feels like my entire collection is gradually becoming more powerful. Today I added another card to my collection. The card is called the Magma Troll. After purchasing it I feel this card could be very useful for optimizing my Fire Splinter deck in the future.

In this post I am sharing my experience and thoughts regarding the purchase of the Magma Troll card.

🔥 The Moment I Bought the Magma Troll Card

Before buying the card I examined its stats. I noticed it is a Common Fire Unit card with a Mana cost of 4. I’ve always considered 4-Mana cards to be quite important. Often battle rulesets or Mana caps prevent the use of Mana, powerful cards. In those situations good low-Mana cards can turn the tide of the battle.

That thought process led me to decide to buy the Magma Troll card.

As shown in the image the price was 51.30 DEC at the time of purchase. It didn't seem expensive to me especially considering the potential to level it up gradually in the future. So without overthinking it I decided to go and buy it.

The purchase confirmation screen clearly showed that I was buying one Magma Troll. After completing the transaction the card was added to my collection.

🐂 Magma Trolls Initial Stats

I really liked the Level 1 stats of the Magma Troll. For a cost of 4 Mana the card offers 1 Melee Attack, 2 Speed and 3 Health. While the attack power might not seem high at first glance a card doesn't necessarily have to have high attack power to be effective in every battle.

Speed is also very important to me as the opportunity to attack first in a battle can often make a difference. With a Speed of 2 the Magma Troll isn't exactly a card.. Its Health of 3 gives it the durability to withstand some standard attacks.

The best part is its Mana Cost of 4. This gives me plenty of opportunities to use this card in to-medium Mana battles.

⚔️ Its Ability makes it more appealing

The Magma Troll comes with an Ability right from the start. I really like this feature because alongside Attack and Health an Ability can provide an advantage during battle.

When I buy a card I don't just focus on its current level. I also consider how much it can be leveled up in the future. I applied the mindset to the Magma Troll.

As shown in the stats section of the image the cards Attack, Speed and Health gradually increase as it levels up. Its power can see a boost at higher levels. More importantly new Abilities are unlocked upon reaching specific levels. Consequently there could be a difference between the current Magma Troll and the leveled-up version I might have in the future.

That is exactly what makes collecting and leveling up cards much fun for me.

🎯 Plans for use in low-Mana battles

The main factor I considered when buying this card was its Mana Cost of 4. In Splinterlands you don't always get a Mana cap. Low-Mana battles occur frequently requiring us to be strategic when selecting cards.

I believe the Magma Troll could be an option for those situations.

Imagine a battle where I have limited Mana. I need a card that doesn't consume much Mana but remains effective in the fight. The Magma Troll fits that description perfectly.

Moreover if combined with other Fire Splinter cards this low-Mana card can play a significant role.

📈 Intent to level up in the future

I’ve mentioned before that one of my goals in Splinterlands is to gradually level up my cards. All simply collecting a large number of cards isn't enough. Enhancing their capabilities is crucial too. I have the plan for the Magma Troll as well.

Currently it is at Level 1. According to the stats shown in the image upgrading to Level 2 requires 5 cards and subsequent levels will need more. I might not be able to collect a number of cards all at once right now but if I can gradually gather more copies of the same card I will try to level it up.

I am particularly excited about the fact that as it levels up its attack and other stats improve and it gains abilities.

🏆 Another card in my collection

To me Splinterlands isn't just a battle game. It is also a card collection game. Every time I buy a card I feel like I am building a small yet powerful collection of my own.

That is how I felt after purchasing the Magma Troll.

It might be at Level 1 now with limited capabilities but when I look to the future I imagine this little card playing a crucial role in important battles.

Another thing I liked is that this card is playable in both Wild and Survival modes. The game indicated during the purchase that it's playable in Wild & Survival though a Wild Pass might be required for Wild Ranked Play. So along with buying the card I also need to keep in mind which mode I’ll be using it in.

❤️ How I felt after the purchase

the joy of buying a new card in Splinterlands is unique. Every time I add a card to my collection I feel like my account is gradually becoming more complete.

I felt that excitement when buying the Magma Troll. I managed to acquire this card for 51.30 DEC. It might not be the powerful card in my deck right now but through future use and leveling up it could become much more significant.

I believe that to play Splinterlands well one shouldn't just focus on Legendary cards or high-mana cards. Sometimes even a low-mana Common card can play a role in the right battle.

The Magma Troll is another addition to my Splinterlands collection. Although it starts with a 4-mana cost, 1 Attack, 2 Speed and 3 Health its capabilities can increase as it levels up. My interest in the card has grown further because of the potential to unlock abilities at higher levels.

I may have only bought a card today but to me it represents another small milestone in my Splinterlands journey.

My goal is to improve my collection and utilize each card effectively according to my needs.

The Magma Troll might just be a Common card for me today but I am happily adding it to my collection in the hope that it will play a vital role in many important battles, in the future. 🔥
