There is a lot of uproar over the news about an upcoming PayPal policy update that is going to allegedly make changes so that the company can take $2,500 from an account if users are found to have posted misinformation or discriminatory or hateful content.

However, there are rumors that perhaps this was a mistake of this information going out. And it's alleged that the company is already looking to update the policy to reflect that and clear up any confusion.

Users have called on PayPal to issue a statement to clear all of this up. Some people want to know if they should close their accounts or not.

Info sent out in error?

Multiple reports are already coming out suggesting that PayPal is pulling back from that plan and they've seemingly confirmed that the information was sent out in error.
