There are millions of unvaccinated individuals around the world and all of the divisive and harmful rhetoric suggesting that all of those individuals are ignorant, racist, misogynist, conspiracy theorists, or that they only get their news from FB, couldn't be further from the truth.

No, they aren't all "anti science" and no they aren't all anti mask or anti vaccine either.

It is dangerous bureaucratic rhetoric that is happening these days against the unvaccinated, the dehumanizing ridiculing of these individuals regularly all in the name of community and supposed safety for others.

However, one action negates the other, and demonizing the individual and advocating to violate individual rights by forcing medical treatments onto people doesn't exert any empathy or understanding for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

Those people who cannot afford to pay fines, relocate to another area, or easily work from home or find another job etc. There are others with serious health issues who don't want to take the risk. And they are going to suffer all because they want the right and the choice to decide for their own body.

Advocating for such collective force is against the well-being of every individual, this is because the actions degrade free will and basic human rights. Body autonomy should be protected and championed, not ridiculed.

There are ER doctors who are not vaccinated, nurses, teachers, police officers, fire fighters, lawyers, and others. Hard-working and intelligent individuals who for one of various reasons might not want to make that decision for themselves. In a society that claims to care about human rights and wants to protect minorities then this should be the goal, protect the right to choose what goes into your body and the right to have informed consent on choosing your own medical treatment. That is a vital human right and one that shouldn't be so easily ridiculed and eroded.

By advocating for the erosion of human rights for others you also deteriorate them for yourself.

The same folks who are largely advocating such hatred against those who are thinking and acting differently from them in this circumstance is surprising, especially given how they've pretended to supposedly grasp the threat of tyranny in the past with highly controversial leaders/public figures. There is no empathy or community care in ignoring some of the most vulnerable individuals in the population, and refusing to listen to or respect the differences of other unique individuals who have separate value systems and beliefs that guide them to make a decision on something that your personal worldview and bias might not align with or understand. It shouldn't need to in order for you to support the freedom of others.

In supporting the freedom of others you support a safer environment and community for yourself, rather than breeding more aggression and collectivism that has already caused tremendous devastation throughout human history.
