Everything revolved and revolves around the one company and 10 people on top , if you don't pay the don your respect (and the money) you dont get anything off the ground, its exactly like mafia or government, only here 'de-centralized' is called 20 people tops making all the decisions, the witness voting system is crooked, there is no way of knowing how many have been voting for themselves with free or claimed accounts or bought-by-proxy, and there IS a way to see how many witness votes are 'stuck' since day one from accounts that are long stale from people who left when the price sank (their own doing btw, thats not a conspiracy theory but feel free to believe the discord propaganda) and the ones who did after HF21/22 proved its about the top 20 making the money and handing some crumbs to the plebs

and i dont wanna get started on how four or five people get to build blacklists with steempower delegated by the same company ... if there were anything de-centralized steemcleaners wouldnt have misterdelegation, they would bring their own money to the table like any of us and they would get delegations by numbers, not one mass from one account
