hm ... work is one thing, a job is another ... i think both are a means to an end, just like money itself, not the end-goal. One goes by many names on the internet lol. I think most people find more comfort in the 9 to 5 simply because it avoids being responsible, just like a soldier only follows orders, and on top of that , in my grim worldview (which i only could have gotten from my past life, environment, interactions and experiences), sady, a job, even as portrayed as duty is something unavoidable as people tend to be chained by the age of 18/21 (depending on the place) where you are considered 'adult' once you are already chained, getting ready for your first loan or maybe already have one, then its a run up to 60 or 65, by then maybe a house is yours and no longer belongs to the bank and if you're lucky you only have to pay alimony for three wives and seved kids ( :D ) . It's inherent to the system (though i loathe using the word as a cliché). They let you loose the moment you have chained yourself and proven, through a fine degree in state-approved schools that you are a capable cog in the machine who speaks according to the normalized standard and displays the same behavioural patterns. Makes you predictable and that is what 'the man' needs ...
short of sounding like conspirations thats pretty much the way i see things working.
Friction is unavoidable in a place like this where real money is involved and you get a mirror image of society, down to the 99 versus one percent.
De-centralized democracy has 20 people dictating the law (thats a lot less than your usual centralized government has) and on top of that they go by non-decaying votes. Which would be similar to Obama claiming presidency because in total he had still more votes after Trumps first win lol.
Plus : if you compare it to electional voting booths :
the first guy gets the win
thats hardly a valid representation of public opinion on whats considered 'good' and 'bad' no matter how you turn it.
And so on, but despite that, it seems to be some kind of STEEM-drug since we all keep hanging around here lol
and merry christmas and all that, and may 2020 bring better fruit than this year
