the basic income proposal didnt pass btw, not because they couldnt afford to, but for the classic reasons like ... "people will stop working" and all that which has been proven, PROVEN in several experiments not to be true

Correct me if I'm wrong, but majority of people NEED some purpose. And for most - work is the only purpose in life.
