ETERNAL SUMMER'S DAY
Freedom is love
the highest point of being
where you reach utopia with another
and are then blessed with the talent of
speaking without talking
feeling without touching
and loving without trying
A relationship where all anxiety is good
surprising or giving and anticipating a reaction
already knowing what it will be
but to witness it remains a true wonder
and as fresh and exciting as the first time
you said you loved her
That – you will both never forget
the day etched in your mind as a feeling
a moment never to be repeated
unique, special and moving – magical, inspiring and powerful
a day such as that could never be planned
could never be acted with the best the world has to offer
as it was done naturally, perfectly
that eternal summer’s day
A day that has lasted
through trips over mountains and down valleys
and that you both know, without a doubt
will last as long as you are alive and maybe even beyond
For as night falls you sleep with the anticipation
of awakening to another day filled
with infatuation, love and passion
You know it’s love when you wake up and gently turn to her
and can’t believe that you are allowed
to lay beside her, to touch her without asking and to love her
it’s love when; as you turn back
she awakens and thinks the same
This is freedom
this is love
and this is our goal in life
to search for
the eternal summer’s day
