One year ago, I claimed to have a handful of close friends. Today, I have fewer.
I could easily blame Steemit. You see, none of my friends share my vision for Steem and other cryptocurrencies. Their lack of vision bothers me. I question myself.
I suppose it is like the violinist who quits the orchestra to join a jazz band. Few of his orchestra friends understand, and his acceptance into the band will take time. In the mean time, there is self doubt.
The point is that tough decisions require tough commitment. For me, there is no going back. I am committed to spending all of my available time and creative talent giving gifts to the community.
Watching older people who have gone before me, I realize that even lifetime friends drift away eventually. I wish them well.
The long term micro-economic value of interaction with Steemit is worth a lot to me. Rewards aside, the ability to have daily interaction with others is priceless.
Thanks for reading.
Here is today's beauty.
