For me, the greatest thing about the Steemit community is the opportunity to ‘earn’ crypto currency. Yes, I have addicted to reading the posts of a few favorites, but I value my daily earnings. Like a slow steady drip... drip... drip..., the value in my account fills my financial bucket. It is slow, but sure.
With the Steem price simmering around 80 cents the daily gains seem insignificant. Regardless, there is progress.
Future changes in price are unknowable. Up or down does not matter to me. I choose to be persistent and consistent.
In my life, I have wasted quite a lot of time and effort on projects that eventually failed. I know the risks of clinging to hope.
I see a bright future for Steem. The need for multiple income sources seems obvious.
