The story goes that wise men traveled great distances to bring baby Jesus valuable gifts. Coming from regions with low labor costs, they could have brought inexpensive toys to please a child. Rather they brought valuables.
In the next few weeks many of us will purchase gifts for children this Christmas season. Many families take advantage of ‘BLACK FRIDAY’ to purchase cheap toys that come from regions with low labor costs.
I prefer to give gifts of value. This year each member of my family will receive 5 oz’s of Silver.
They will probably display mild curiosity and stash it away in a pocket until they eventually hide it in a sock drawer. Silver is not a wished for gift.
Someday I believe silver will be more valuable than gold. When the remember their hidden treasure, I hope they consider me to have been a wise man who loved them.
