When comparing an individual to the universe, we as individuals are so tiny as to be nonexistent. We can’t possibly change anything. a1drjohnthumb.JPG

The same is true when comparing an individual to the global economy. My tiny bank accounts are insignificant.

I could continue to make comparisons to prove my point, but realistic comparisons are unnecessary. As individuals, we are all insignificant to the systems we have created over the centuries.

Systems exist longer than human lifetimes. Evil systems outlive the criminal minds that got them started. Good systems likewise for longer than expected.

My point is we must understand our insignificant ability to change big things and concentrate on improving the little tiny problems within our personal spheres of influence.

I can’t change the size of the world’s debt. I can change my personal situation.

Being aware of the bigger picture however can cause apathy. Why should I try if I am doomed to die in a global systemic collapse.

The answer reduces to individual character. I must continue to do my best for the collective good.

You must form your own strategy.

Here is today’s beauty.
