Here is my story about cigarettes, a very important issue for society, a challenge suggested by @mariannewest #Freewrite

Federico, a police officer lived in a very dangerous city, he was the director of the police station at that time.
He thought that cigarettes were the medicine to cure the stress levels he lived, it was not easy to be in charge of a city with such a high level of crime, on the other hand it was the only source of money in his home.

When he was only 43 years old, he began to show fatigue, difficulty breathing, had trouble sleeping, and became very aggressive, which only calmed him to smoke a few cigarettes. One day in a police confrontation when trying to steal a store received a bullet impact on one side, but everything has a reason to be, it was the only way for Federico to go to the doctor.

When the doctor evaluates he informs him that the bullet did not produce any complications, but on the other hand he noticed that his lungs were being consumed, of a 100% of respiratory capacity he had less than 60% at such a young age. The doctor indicated that the levels of stress to which he was subjected plus the daily consumption of nicotine caused an irreversible deterioration of his pulmonary system.

Today they have spent 6 years and wife, today widow opens a foundation with support from her family to raise awareness about the negative and irreversible effects of this powerful negative weapon "cigarettes".

Federico, un oficial de policía vivía en una ciudad bastante peligrosa, él era el director de la estación policial en aquel entonces. El pensaba que los cigarrillos eran la medicina para curar los niveles de estrés que vivía, no era fácil ser el encargado de una ciudad con un nivel de crimen tan elevado, por otro lado era la única fuente de dinero en su hogar.

Con tan solo 43 años de edad empezó a presentar fatiga, dificultad para respirar, le costaba dormir, además se tornaba muy agresivo, cosa que solo le calmaba fumarse unos cuantos cigarros. Un día en un enfrentamiento policial al intentar el robo de una tienda recibió un impacto de bala en un costado, pero todo tiene una razón ser, fue la única manera de que Federico acudiera al médico.

Cuando el médico lo evalúa le informa que la bala no produjo alguna complicaciones, pero por otro lado nota que sus pulmones se estaban consumiendo, de un 100% de capacidad respiratoria tenia menos del 60% a tan corta edad. El médico señaló que los niveles de estrés a los que estaba sometido mas el consumo diario de nicotina ocasionaron un deterioro irreversible de su sistema pulmonar.

Hoy han pasado 6 años y esposa, hoy viuda inaugura una fundación con apoyo de su familia para concientizar a la población sobre los efectos negativos e irreversibles de esta arma negativa poderosa “los cigarrillos”.
