Bithumb reported that their exchange was hacked, coins that valued almost $30 million. Read full news here https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/19/south-korea-crypto-exchange-bithumb-says-it-was-hacked-coins-stolen.html. Also Openledger was also hacked this month, read full story here https://bitsonline.com/openledger-domains-hijacked/.

This only means that there are no exceptions when it comes to getting hacked, centralized or decentralized. Exchanges will get hacked if their securities are vulnerable and weak. This will also serve as a lesson to these exchanges, upgrading their securities to the highest security they can provide.

But the problem isn't about exchanges getting hacked, it's about how we react after what happened.

I remember how people reacted when there was a breach that happened to Binance, how the hackers manipulated Binance bot into dumping their coins then massively buying VIA coin. It's like the hack never happened at all. But it was different when Openledger was hacked. Some people keeps on blaming Openledger, and starts to move their funds on other exchanges. We as a community on a decentralized exchange supports centralized exchanges when there's a breach on their exchange, but blames our very own Openledger that supported us for years. People keep on throwing accusations on Openledger, telling everyone that Openledger was behind everything, on the other hand, you'll never hear people blaming centralized exchanges hacking their own clients.

Bitshares can grow greater than $1, but without proper cooperation with each other groups. This value seems too far away. We kept on throwing accusations on each other blaming their leaders, FUDing each projects. Why don't we just cooperate with each other? Maybe if we act as a community, platform like STEAM, Amazon, or some big corporate will start using our platform. Bitshares is the only platform that can process large volume of transactions like Amazon. The only problem is, our community are fully not supporting our own platform, instead they wanted to use "centralized exchanges" because of what? Volume, traders, price pumps? We are forgetting that if all of us leaves Bitshares platform, there will be nothing left for us. We are the traders, the volume, and if we only cooperate as a community rather than blaming each other, maybe we can get back to once where we left and that is to break $1.

Support Bitshares by trading on our platform, the high fees are there to make our platform a better place. Imagine the fees as a donation to make Bitshares Network grow. Let's all be wise, if we wanted our community to grow, support them.
