I remember when I was in high school we did all these test to see what we could be when we grow up. I had on there Magician, Teacher, Photographer among other things. But when I left high school, I took psychology, herbal medicine, and wanted to be a singer/songwriter for so long. I wanted to be an actor. These are the things I wanted to be. But I had natural talents that lay elsewhere. I had a gift for aesthetics. I loved to be in front of the camera and people. I loved taking pictures and videos. Even though I entered public speaking contest and often did well in them, I never wanted to be a teacher/professor or public speaker. Even though they were my strengths, it's not what I wanted to do. Eventually those strengths came around. And I fell in love with them. I realized that in life, you cannot be what you want to be. Someone with the worst voice in the world who is tone deaf, despite willing and dealing to be the next Bruno Mars is probably going to get to mediocre at best. I know it's not a popular idea, but the myth that anyone can be whatever they want to be is untrue. Someone who is 5'1 will have a tough time reaching the NBA. We all about our natural talents and abilities. And that's why we should focus on our strengths and not our weaknesses. Because if we focus on our strengths, we can arrive at excellence. If we focus on our weaknesses, they may balance out, but they will never be impressive enough as our strengths at full potential.
The same way a 50 year old programmer will probably never make it as a top olympic gymnast even if they dreamed and willed it every single day. There are still realities we must face. And one of those is truly knowing thyself. What is your weakness? What are your strengths? What are you focusing on?

Hey guys and gals, I’ve been a student of life and love to learn new things. I've studied film, acting (film and theatre), Natural Medicines, Psychology, Business and Photography. I’ve read over 2,000 different books and consume at least 50 new books a year. I also owned and operated a Consultancy Firm for about 3 years and was a professor for Personal Development for one of the leading schools in the field called John Robert Powers. Aside from working with over 3 fortune 500 companies, I’ve also owned and operated over 4 businesses. Along with that, I've travelled all over Europe, South America and Asia doing non-profit work for Orphanages and shelters. I also speak from time to time to Youth Groups and Churches. I hope that some of these personal life lessons add value to your life.
I believe that success is not our final destination. I don’t believe in failure, I believe in learning from mistakes. I believe that it’s okay to be obsessed. It’s evidence of passion in your life.
