I am simply responding to the corporate welfare and inflation claims made in the post.

If you want to stop and/or reduce inflation you have to destroy currency, the US Government (most governments/countries in the world work the same way) is the only entity that has the power to create/destroy currency (technically banks can also create currency but that is only because the US Gov created laws/regulations that allow them to do so).

So, the fastest way to reduce the inflation that has been created up until now, is to remove currency from the economic system and destroy it, the only tool the government has to do that is taxation.

Stopping money printing and borrowing is also an option, but only doing that would take much longer, because you have to wait for the population to increase and the existing currency supply to be distributed among the population. And looking at history this will most likely not work because as more currency is created wealth inequality increases and the wealthy tend to hoard their currency without spending it.
