How is this any less harmful than the "men are all x" ideology? (replace x with pigs, rapists, abusers, etc.) I know many women that get "persecuted" by sandwich jokes may also hold these generalized ideas in their head.
I know there are women who think badly of me just because I'm male, but I try not to let that get me down. If I feel wronged or mistreated I chalk it up to the person being a dick and I move on. I am not going to stop in my tracks, ultimately offended, and demand that you make penance. Expecting others to do so reeks of privileged class. No one in their right mind is going to take something as small as this so personally and make it into a public issue. Anyone who does needs a mental health check up. People are dicks sometimes, guys can be dicks and girls can be dicks. Don't use it as an excuse to go crazy. I often find that people with no problems in their life tend to manufacture their own. Growing up in a sheltered community can really cripple your resilience in the face of adversity. I think this is why so many sheltered people are going insane in public these days. The world in which they live is filled with staunch social constructs, we have come so far away from nature that when these constructs are violated there is nothing else (humanity) for us to rely on.
SJW anger and violent attitudes are actually undermining the humanity they work towards.
