Hi there. A new Pokemon Pocket set has been revealed. It is a Team Rocket themed set for the mobile game. This B4a set releases on August 26, 2026.
The Houndour here is whatever. It is needed for TR's Houndoom (unrevealed).
Team Rocket's Lapras as an attacker does not seem great. You deal 80 damage if this Pokemon has more Energy attached than your opponent's Active Pokemon. Otherwise you have 40 damage.
This Lapras art with the Rocket Grunt is kind of silly looking. It must be the cartoon art style.
This Team Rocket's Tinkaton art is quite colourful first of all.
As an attacker, this Tinkaton is okay. For 2 Metal Energy and 1 Colourless Energy, the Pile-Driving Hammer deals 80 damage and it makes the opponent pay more for attacking or retreating.
The legendary birds have been captured by Team Rocket. All 3 of them seem like beatstick attackers with no abilities.
This Team Rocket's Master Plan supporter card is kind of interesting. You make your opponent's Active Pokemon Confused. You then flip a coin. If tails then your Active Pokemon is also Confused.
The Boss supporter allows you to look at the opponent's hand. Then you put any number of Basic Pokemon you find there and put them onto your opponent's Bench. Why would you help out the opponent with this card? This card can be good in niche control style decks where you can Bench useless Basic Pokemon from the opponent's hand.
This Team Rocket's Thieving Machine is an interesting Item card. From your opponent's discard pile, you put a random Item card except any Team Rocket's Thieving Machine and put it into your hand. You essentially steal a random Item card from the opponent's discard pile.
This Item card could be a third Poke Ball, an extra Repel or a Lucky Ice Pop. As the Thieving Machine is random, there is no guarantee of you stealing a useful Item card.
Marowak
Marowak is an anti Team Rocket attacker. Punish for 1 Fighting Energy and one Colourless Energy deals 50 base damage plus 70 more damage if the opponent's Active Pokemon has Team Rocket in its name.
We would have to see the full reveal if there are more Team Rocket counter cards.
Team Rocket's Arbok
Arbok is an iconic Pokemon for Team Rocket based on Jessie & James in the early Pokemon anime.
Shadow Seeker requires 2 Dark Energy and 1 Colourless Energy to deal 70 base damage. This attack does 10 more damage for each Energy in the opponent's Active Pokemon retreat cost. The highest retreat cost possible is 4 which makes this max damage 110. Three energy for 70 to 110 damage is a bit of energy.
Team Rocket's Hypno
Team Rocket's Hypno has this Entrap attack that switches an opponents Benched Pokemon to the Active Spot. Then you deal 50 damage to the new Active Pokemon. There is a possibility of trapping a non-attacking Pokemon with this Hypno.
Team Rocket's Mewtwo
Team Rocket's Mewtwo is an okay attacker. Psychic Explosion requires 2 Psychic Energy and 1 Colourless Energy to deal 130 damage plus 70 recoil damage to itself. The hard part is getting Energy to this Mewtwo.
Team Rocket's Persian
Team Rocket's Persian could be usable outside of a Team Rocket deck. Dangerous Rogue for 2 Energy deals 10 base damage plus 40 more damage for each of the opponent's Benched Pokemon. The maximum amount of Benched Pokemon is 3. This Persian could do up to 130 damage from 2 Energy.
