Hi there. In this Pokemon TCG post, I cover this relatively new deck archetype. It involves Bronzong, Dusknoir, Mega Kangaskhan ex and Mega Lopunny ex.
Note that this is in the Pitch Black format before the 30th celebration set.
Dusknoir Evolution Line
Dusclops and Dusknoirs are somewhat seeing an increase in usage. Both Dusclops and Dusknoirs are not used for attacking but their abilities are interesting. You sacrifice a Dusclops to place 5 damage counters on 1 of your opponent's Pokemon. A Dusknoir can be Knocked Out in exchange to place 13 damage counters on 1 of your opponent's Pokemon.
Psyduck is not being used too much so it makes sense to use Dusclops and Dusknoir. Note that you cannot use Dusclops and Dusknoir to Hide 'n' Sneak Pokemon.
Bronzong
A lot of the popular metagame decks have evolved Pokemon as Support Pokemon or as attackers. Bronzong's Evolution Jammer deals 30 damage and the opponent cannot play Evolution Pokemon from their hand to evolve their Pokemon.

Telepathic Psychic Energy
Telepathic Psychic Energy is the best Special Energy in the Mega Evolution Era. It justs more consistency and setup for decks with a lot of Psychic Pokemon. When this is attached to a Psychic Pokemon, you can search your deck for up to 2 Basic Psychic Pokemon and put them to your Bench.
Mega Lopunny ex
Mega Lopunny ex is one big attacker in this deck. Gale Thrust deals 60 base damage from one energy. This attack does 170 more damage if this Pokemon moved from the Bench to the Active Spot.
Spiky Hopper is not used much. For two energy, this attack does 160 damage and it ignores any effects on the opponent's Active Pokemon. This type of attack is useful against Crustle.
Mega Kangaskhan ex
Mega Kangaskhan ex is the main draw engine. It is sometimes used as an alternate attacker.
Sample Decklists
Rank 10 and Rank 18 Baltimore Regional Out of 3122 Players
This decklist is piloted by two players. Maybe they are friends or something.
The ACE SPEC of choice is Enriching Energy. It counts as a Colourless Energy. When attached to a Pokemon, you draw 4 cards. It is best used with Dudunsparce which is not present in this deck though.

This one is similar to the list above. There are two less Mega Kangaskhans, one more Buneary, one more Mega Lopunny ex and one more Dusclops. No Budew is in this list.
Strategy
I haven't played with this deck personally. It looks like on paper, you setup your Duskulls, Bronzors and Latias ex as fast as possible. This is done with Poke Pads and Telepathic Psychic Energy.
Then you work your way to Dusknoirs and Bronzongs. Bronzong's Evolution Jammer is to lock the opponent out of evolving Pokemon. Dusknoirs are there to remove pieces of the opponent's side.
The Mega Lopunny ex is there to deal Knockouts to 210 HP Basic Pokemon ex and the Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex is for the endgame.
Advantages
This deck should be fairly easy and inexpensive to build in late September 2026. It is not a popular deck so the prices should be low. There may be a couple hard to find cards like Telepathic Psychic Energy, ACE SPEC Enriching Energy and Hilda.
Bronzong's Evolution Jammer seems really powerful and useful when the most popular deck is Dragapult ex. There are a bunch of decks that involve evolving Pokemon. Being to lock your opponent out of evolving Pokemon is pretty powerful. Maybe even game winning.
Disadvantages
Something like Psyduck does stop Dusclops and Dusknoir. Psyduck is not seen much but it could see more play now.
Another issue is that the opponent could evolve their Pokemon before you get Bronzong into play.
The one popular deck that really counters this deck is Basic Box. It is based on Teal Mask Ogerpon ex, Mega Kangaskhan ex, Crispin and a bunch of different Basic Pokemon attackers. This deck is mostly against Dragapult ex decks.
Closing Notes
This is one of those decks where you do well with if the opponent is not familiar with this deck and/or the opponent is playing an Evolution heavy deck.
To get the evolution lock from Bronzong, you do have to setup faster than the opponent.
If this kind of deck did place high in a large tournament, I guess this deck does keep a lot of Evolution decks in check. This deck is not expected to win a big tournament but it does prevent certain decks from winning. Matchup luck is a factor.
From the 30th celebration set, adding Mew ex makes sense. That way you attack with Mew ex instead of Mega Lopunny ex or even Bronzong.
There is an alternative Mega Lopunny ex deck that does not use Bronzong. It does have Moltres and the Dudunsparce draw engine. This Maylasian rank 58 decklist is from the World Championships 2026. The playstyle is slightly different.
