Hi. In this short Pokemon cards reveal post, I cover the Cinderace card reveal from Japan's Mega Brave set. Japan's Mega Brave set releases on August 1 and the international cards release on September 26, 2025.
Scorbunny
Scorbunny is the Basic Pokemon needed for Raboot and Cinderace. This Fire Pokemon has 70 HP, one retreat cost and Water weakness.
For 1 Colourless Energy the Wild Kick does 30 damage if your coin flip lands Heads. If you get Tails, this attack does nothing.
Raboot
Raboot is the Stage 1 evolution from Scorbunny. It has 100 HP, 1 retreat cost and Water weakness. The Jumping Kick attack requires 1 Colourless Energy to deal 40 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokemon.
This attack is pretty good for a Stage 1 Pokemon as a part of a Stage 2 Evolution line. One energy to hit 40 damage anywhere is useable.
Cinderace
This Cinderace card is very interesting. It can be useable in the competitive scene. Cinderace is a single Prize Stage 2 Fire Pokemon with 160 HP, zero retreat cost and Water weakness.
The Explosiveness ability is an option if this Cinderace is in your hand when you are setting up to play. If in hand, you have the option to put it face down as your Active Pokemon. With this ability you bypass the evolution steps and you can start the game with an evolved Pokemon instead of a usual Basic Pokemon.
Cinderace's Flare Turbo attack requires 1 Colourless Energy (any Energy type) to deal 50 damage. This attack also lets your search your deck for up to 3 Energy cards and attach them to your Benched Pokemon in any way you like. Then shuffle your deck. Deal damage and accelerating Energy is pretty powerful.
Explosiveness is a pretty powerful ability if you get lucky. The most recent card with this ability was Luxray. Luxray was not used too much but I think this Cinderace is more playable. We would have to see what other cards would be released that can combo with this Cinderace.
There is possibility of playing this Cinderace evolution line with Cinderace ex. On paper I do see synergy between the Cinderace cards.
